He was hospitalized in a base hospital in Japan since mid-November until being transferred to Brooke General several weeks ago//Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday in the chapel of Broussard's Mortuary. Officiating will be Dr B Harrison Taylor, pastor of St Andrews Presbyterian Church of which he was a member and Dr David Worth Roberts, pastor emeritus of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park//Haines was a native and life-long resident of Beaumont. He was a 1967 graduate of Carolina Military Academy.
