Based on information that I collected a couple of years back from different people, this is what I have. This was collected from the 1880 Lincoln Parish census: John H McCullin, self employed farmer, married, 40, born in Ms. Louiesa McCullin ,Wife, 40, Born in Tn. John L. McCullin, son, single, 17, farm laborer born in La Henry R. McCullin, son, single 15, farm laborer born in La William McCullin, son, 13 farm laborer born in La Willis McCullin, son, 13 farm laborer born in La Elizabeth McCullin, mother of John H. age 77 Now, I have seen the father listed as John W and John Henry. I believe,but I am not positive, it is John H. Born 12/20/1839 believe in Ms. Married on9/29/1861. died 7/18/1897. His wife, Julia louiesa Mullins, b June of 1839 in Tn. Her father, Archibald Mullins, b 1805 in Ireland, and her mother Nancy Adkins b. in 1808 in Tn. Louiesa recieved a CSA pension on John, I have somewhere that he fought for the Louisiana Greys. Willis' grandparents were John J. McCullin married 10th of december 1818 in Amite county Ms. to Elizabeth Hamilton of South Carolina. (she is listed above as living with the family in the 1880 census). Willis married Annis Elizabeth Smith and they had 5 children. Walter b.oct. 1897 was my grandfather. based on the ages in the census,Will and Willis were twins. Send me some info on your people as I have nothing on Willis' brothers.
