Hi Timothy, I just read this posting for Jefferson County. (See below) I am new to this list. I belong to several other lists in the Eastern & Southeastern area of Texas, researching my 'kin'. You mentioned the name ADAMS, and so now I am wondering if possibly anyone else may have these ADAMS. I have some ADAMS and was wondering if anyone had any of these ADAMS in your records. Please let me know if you do as I would surely like to know who were the parents of John E. H. Adams. Many Thanks, Linda Descendants of John E. H. Adams 1 John E. H. If you are interested in owning this book, please let me know -- I'm told it has a value in excess of $150. The book is on loan to me -- it is owned by a man in Vidor who does not have a computer. I told him I would look for a buyer for him -- I cannot afford to spend that much for a book or I would buy it myself. I will make nothing for doing this -- except for the good will of the owner, who is a friend of mine. The book is in "relatively good shape". All the pages are there and it is only slightly yellowed. But the glue holding the cover to the spine has disintegrated and the cover is loose, as are several pages. I would describe it as in "good but fragile" condition. If you are interested, please write me off-list at: Tom Cloud P.S. pages for the Wiess family of Wiess' Bluff and for the descendants of Elisha & Melina Dalton Whittington (Devers, Texas and Liberty county) can be found at .. http://mykindred.com thanks, Tom Cloud

He was a brother of my GGMother, but he joined the service and lost contact with the family. I know he had a wife and children, but I do not know who they were. I do not know when he died but I believe it to be after 1940. He had a brother named Archie that went to Port Arthor for the funeral.
