I am trying to find out how I can get an obit for a person who died in Beaumont in 1980. I am doing research for a lady in England and have traced her family from Newark Oh. to Beaumont. The person I am looking for, Elizabeth WAY is on the 1930 census married to Bernard WAY with no children. Through family obits I know that by 1946 she has married a Harry WOODSIDE. Elizabeth died in Jun. of 1980. I am hoping an obit will tell me if she had any children. I have contacted by phone two WAYS that live in the Beaumont area, but neither one were a relative. Any help in how I can find an obit would be appreciated, Thank you. Dennis Jones.

Other siblings of George were James J; Erma, who married men named Lavender and Simmons; and Mary Gertrude WARD (my direct line). She settled in Oklahoma and was married to Joseph Carl Edmonson. Do any of these names or places fit with your family? Thanks for your reply.

McCullin/Gertrude McCullin family. They are my grandparents. I think possibly that we may connected in some way. My ggrandfather was John L. McCullin. He may have been a brother to your ggrandfather. Was Willis a twin? I have been told that there were twins in this family named William and Willis. I don't have a lot of information, but John L. McCullin died in 1947 I believe in Minden La. I am trying to locate a death certificate on him, but so far have not gotten enough information to go to the LA state archives. If you have any additional information on this family I would appreciate it. For instance how many children were there and who is the father of John and Willis if they are brothers. Thanks, Jean Bunt

Caroline married William Brewer Dec. 9, 1850 in Jefferson Co. They moved to Kimble or Medina Co., TX after the lawsuit was settled. Their son, Andrew Erasmus Brewer, b. 1855, Jefferson Co. TX grew up on a cattle ranch in West Texas. Andy married Martha Ann Click in Bandera Co. and had about 9 kids. They moved to Klamath Co. OR about 1910. Their youngest son, William (Bill) Brewer, born ca June 9, 1900 in Rio Frio, TX was my father-in-law. Bill was the owner/manager of the Darling - Brewer Ranch in Fort Klamath, OR from 1925 until his death in 1991. William and Caroline BREWER were in their 40s when my father-in-law was born and my father-in-law was 42 when my wife was born. Because of those two births late in life, Christian and Eurasie are only seperated from my wife by two generations, Andy and Bill. I would love to get a copy of the discharge papers you have. However, I think the papers are for my wife's great uncle, Christian Espar Hillebrant, another child of Christian and Eurasie Blanchette. Both Christian Sr. and Eurasie were deceased before the start of the Civil War. I'll gladly pay for copying and postage. Grant Johnston, Chico, CA
