Montgomery county. I don't know why he was in Beaumont Tx. but have been told that he died in Beaumont, Dec.1911 and buried in Conroe,Tx. I feel he was working, possibly in a saw mill. I can't find any record of burial or death. Is there possibly a obit for him? I have a census of him and his family(wife Mary Alice Sanders Hopkins m.29 Jan.1890 in Trinity county, and six children) in Montgomery county 1910.He is listed as Jim S. They came to USA 1907, had a daughter Edith Ruth born 1909. They are in Beaumont for the 1910 census. By the time Edith was 4 years old her mother had died, and Edith was living in the home of a preacher A.S. McClamrock. Anton later signed over papers on Edith and the McClamrock's adopted Edith. She went by both last names. Family stories say Anton went back to Denmark, although the 1910 census indicated the were from Ireland. This obit is online through a database called Newsbank (or obitsarchive). I have access to it through the Prince Georges County public library. You might check whether you can get to it through Montgomery County libraries. Anyone can do a search, but you have to access to a subscription in order to download the full image. Go to www.obitsarchive.com and search nationwide or go to a specific state to search. I searched on Echels and 2001 in Texas. Wiseman, and so, I would be related to this branch. I presume since Wash burn ee was pronouced that way, that it was Washburne, and I think the children went up to Jefferson after the death of their father.
