I am researching the MORGANS of Jasper County, TX. My MORGANS came from Ireland to Duplin County, NC before 1800 and then moved in 1826 to SC for 2 years and then to Lowndes County, Ga. and Decatur County Ga. in 1830. The family split up in 1850, some going to Jasper County, TX and some to Madison/Taylor counties Fl. Reuben MORGAN SR. Who married Dorcas NEWTON, firstly and then married Perthena BELL WILLIAMS, was the progenitor of this family. Rueben's grandson, Malachi, came to GA with the family after his father, John died in SC. Malachi was one of the ones who went to TX. Would the person who had the information on the MORGANS saying that there were 2 different families of these MORGANS, please e-mail with the info on the family?
