I've never seen a specific reference to Co K of the 21st, since the regiment existed for a very short period of time. It was formed in Nov 1864 by combining the 11th (Speight's) Battalion and 4 companies of Griffins Battalion. It never saw active service and was disbanded in May 1865. Go to: http://block.dynip.com/wtblockjr and search that site for additional information that may be available there. W.T. Block, noted historian for the southeast Texas area has written extensively on Civil War activities in and around Jefferson county where Speight's battalion served for most of the war. -----Original Message----- From: Melinda M.
