In a message dated 28 May, Ypmiller@aol.com wrote about the Morgans, and cemetary lookups on Duncan Morgan and Eliza Morgan, as well as the descendents of Malichi Morgan. These two Morgan families are DIFFERENT sets of Morgans-one set lived in the Erin-Zion Hill area, and one set lived in Magnolia Springs. I am directly descended from both sets, and they ARE NOT branches of the same family. One family was from North Carolina, and the other one from Georgia. They are probably distantly related, but as far as I have discovered, they were not related in Jasper County until the families began marrying into one another in this century. My great-grandmother was Zora Bertha Morgan Horn, daughter of Appalis Arabella Sims and Columbus Malichi Monroe Morgan. She married John Albert Horn, son of Jefferson Davis Horn and Sarah Elizabeth Barclay. Her son, Elvin, my grandfather, married Edith Laverne Morgan, daughter of Allen Edwin Morgan and Gladys Prewitt, September 20, 1947 in Newton. My grandmother's father, Allen Edwin Morgan, was the son of Ivan Morgan and Melissa Eppaline Westbrook. Ivan's father was William Ivan Morgan, and William Ivan's father was Duncan Morgan. Duncan Morgan was born in Sampson County, North Carolina. He married twice-the first time to Elizabeth Bell, daughter of Hezekiah Bell and Martha Baggett of Duplin County, North Carolina; she died on the migration to Texas in Georgia; he married his second wife in Decatur County, Georgia, two months after her death. I have lots of information on Duncan Morgan, his first wife Elizabeth Bell, his second wife, Eliza Kelly, and their ancestors, as well as where Duncan and Eliza are buried. I am descended from Elizabeth Bell and Duncan Morgan. I am in the middle of a move right now, but will be glad to trade more information later.
