According to the "History of Bethlehem Baptist Association" Wilson C. Southwell married Miss E. P. Holt in Natchitoches LA in January 1841. I have also came across a letter that Wilson wrote his niece dated June 10th 1853, in which he states he married Evalina P. Holt on the 31st of January 1841. The return address appears to be Toro LA. There is a picture of W.C. Southwell along with other 1890 Baptist preachers at the First Baptist Church in Jasper. I have found Wilson and Evalina in the 1870 and 1880 Newton County Texas census and the 1850 Sabine Parish LA census. The information regarding Evalina would put her birth around 1816 in Mississippi. Wilson was a Baptist missionary preacher. He is the son of J. L. Southwell. He died Jul 1 1900 and is buried at Zion Hill, LA. I believe Evaline is buried at Pleasant Hill, LA.
