He was 30 in March 1862 when he joined. He is listed in every muster thru Feb. 1863. Unfortunately, all the other musters for 1863 are lost, so if he died in March, it would have been near Pine Bluff, Ark., probably at the hospital at White Sulphur Springs, which was one of the largest in the state at the time. The 13th left Arkansas for Louisiana in April 1863. Hope this helps.
