I'm trying to locate any information on my Grandmothers family. My Grandmothers name was Nola Mae Nash, born in Jasper Oct. 10, 1907. Her mothers name was Bessie and father is Manuel Nash. I have heard that My Grandmother was not the child of Manuel Nash, that her father was killed and Bessie married Mr. Nash either before Nola was born or shortly after.(I would love to trace that, but I'm afraid it would be a dead end.) anyway, Bessie and Manuel did have 3 other children after they were married. Jack, Alma and a sister Margie, that was killed by lightening when she was a teenager. Apparently the Family moved to La. years later because this is where Nola married my Grandfather, Adron Mizell in April, 1930. My Grandparents then moved back to Jasper, where the birth of their second child was born. Robbie Lee Mizell, May 16, 1932. I'm more interested in tracing the Nash history back. I know Manuel died around 1963 in Quitman Louisiana. I would like to find out if there is any information out there concerning any descendants still in Jasper.
