Hi, Juanita, Hope you are doing better. I have found Jerry Delaney's father, John W. Delaney, in East Carrol Parish, La., where he died in 1831-32.. As soon as I can put my hands on the records here in my office, I will send you the correct date and information on other records found in his succession file. No a lot, but two minor children, Jeremiah and a daughter, are mention, as well as Charles H. Delaney and James Delaney. Also listed as a relative is a Theophilus C. Delaney. Doesn't say what relationship is, but Charles H. did name one of his sons Theophilus C., so it's must be a pretty close relationship. Perhaps he could have been another son, or a brother of John W. This information certainly agrees with the name of Jerry and Rebeca's first child, John Wesley Delaney. All of this will be in an upcoming issue of the newsletter.
