Boykin (son of Sterling Boykin of Boykin Springs Park on why 63 between Jasper and Zavalla, Angelina County) and Helen Catherine Gilchrist ( daughter of John Anthony Gilchrist of Jasper (before was Bevils Municipality, later Newton County which the line was drawn through then middle of his property..his.wife was Sallie Milholme). I am descended from the above. Francis and Helen Boykin had about 10 kids, 9 girls and 1 boy. Dora being the last child was born in spring 1871, 3 months after her father Francis died in winter of 1870. Dora married John ANthony (Sabe) Gilchriest, they had Otis, Earl, Myrtle, Willia, Eula, Emerson, Ed (who died young), and Tommi (Jessemon). Sabe was the son of William Clarernce Gilchrist and America Mcmahon from Newton County. Helen Catherine and William Clarence were brothers and sisters.
