I have copies of a record on a "George Ball" who appears on the muster rolls of Captain Steven's Company of Minute Men of the Frontier Battalion of Texas Rangers from 11/26/1873 to 03/28/1874. I have a couple of George Ball's listed within my ancestors here in Texas, but am unable to place this one. Can anyone help? Where was Capt. Steven's Co. of Minute Men of the Frontier Battalion organized? Has anyone heard of this outfit? Where were they stationed? Does anyone know who this George Ball is? My 4th gr-grandfather was George Ball (buried in Washington Co., Texas), however his date of birth does not coincide with the George Ball listed above. Some of his children were born, raised and married into families from Jasper Co. and Brazos Counties of Texas. If anyone can place this fellow, I would greatly appreciate it.
