    1. Re: [TXJASPER] Re: 1910 Census Kirbyville?
    2. Yes I have been researching the Welch family. My family of Welch's came to Texas and then back across the Sabine to what was then Calcaseiu Parish and is now part of Vernon Parish. The one that went to Texas was James Welch - He had several children - 2 born in Texas - His oldest son, William Floyd is buried in Evans, LA. His oldest son was my grand father and his name was William Henry, his son, William "Bill" Nolen was my father. They are both buried in Good Hope Cemetery, Anacoco, LA. The area of Texas James lived in was around Jasper - It was rumored in the family that he or his father was in the Conf. Army during the Civil War and he was stationed in Galveston for a period - I have never found any documentation of this. The rest of his family stopped in Oakdale, LA and that branch is still present there as is James's in Anacoco, Vernon Parish, LA. Alma Welch Cryer
