It's home. And Magnolia Springs was where one of my grandmother's, Ruth Anna Mitchell Powell-Lewis, cousin's was from who came to live near the family in Kirbyville, Texas. Her name was Myrte Raspberry. I swear she was well over 80 or more when I first met her and I knew her for well over 25 years of my life. Also I went to High school at Kirbyville High School and one of my best friends was Willie Booker. One of his aunts was a school teacher at the local school. Can;t remember her first name but her last name was Booker. Also in Kirbyville, there were quite a few Bookers who had family relations to people from and around Magnolia Springs. Do you happen to know anything about the twin Booker boys, Alton and Alvin. They were abour 5-6 years older than me. Need any help with checking out any direct hands on info or photos. Just ask. Hi Betty, Your James Jackson Parsley, would his mother perhaps have been a Jackson? If so, could you elaborate some more about it for me? I am a Jackson, by birth and am researching the Jackson's in East Texas. Have just found out only recently that my great grandfather may have remarried as he divorced my great grandmother. This was all new to me. They say he went back to Georgia. My gr gr grandfather also disappeared and so am wondering if any of their children stayed on in East Texas, Jasper - Newton County area. (Or if he, too, went back to Georgia or Alabama.) Please do let me know if you can and I will be glad to see what all I have, too. Thanks, Linda
