    3. Sally, I did a little research with the books I have at home and this is what I found. The Jasper County Cemetery Book, by Mildred Wright lists the following: Jasper City Cemetery, page 19 Luckey, William R. 11-28 1855 - 11-1-1947 Luckey, Emmer E. 6 Aug 1868 - ndd (no death date) Next to them is: Taylor, Ollied (sic) 1-27-1890 - 2-5-1960 Taylor, Bessie 3-18-1893 - ndd To the other side of Emma and William are: Clines, John son of T.M. 1895-1905 Clines, T. M. b. in Kansas City 1845 d. Jasper 1928 Clines, Sarah Ann 6-6-1849 - 9-9-1942 Could these be Emma's parents and a brother or nephew? Also to the other side of Bessie and Ollied is: Luckey, Frenchie 12-21-1907 - 9-4-1973 Luckey, Thomas 1895-1970 Could this be another child of William and Emma? Reviewing the 1920 Census I find: Luckey, W. R., male, 56 years old, born GA, parents born US, occupation-laborer in sawmill Luckey, Emar, female, wife, 40 years old, born MS, parents born GA Luckey, Frank, male, son, 25 years old, single, born TX Luckey, Sam, male, son, 18 years old, single, born TX Luckey, Emmar, female, daughter, 15 years old, born TX Luckey, Tim, male, son, 14 years old, born TX Luckey Jewel, female, daughter, 11 years old, born TX Hope this has been of some help, Yolanda -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, July 22, 2003 22:14:37 To: [email protected] Subject: [TXJASPER] Obit for Emma E Cline Luckey, died May 15, 1970, age 102 Hi, New to list, How do I go about getting a copy of the obit for Emma Elvira Cline Luckey? Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AkB.2ACE/423 Message Board Post: We had the Ebenezer Homecoming yesterday and although we were able to get some great donations through the mail due to a great letter sent out we were poor on people! Matter of fact it was so bad that we almost decided to stop altogether!! Please dont let this happen, its such a wonderful tradition that was started many years ago, some of you might even remember your parents or grandparents taking you!! You would be amazed at the folks who come that can awnser your family history questions and tell you a wonderful story about them! Plus the food is GREAT!! We are looking for all decendants of this wonderful community to come and celebrate the great folks who founded it for us so many years ago! I know that in this day and age of computers and telephones that we forget how much fun meeting face to face with folks can be but this is a day that I think most folks will come away from with a great memory. We would love for next year all of the decendants of the founding families to be there. The Cemetary is right next to it and there are so many of the founders burried there that listing surnames that we want to come would take me forever! If you are a decendant or just want to come to a great old fashioned picknic on the grounds please contact me and I will have one of the board members send you a letter. It will be the Second Saturday in June next year and although thats a year away please write it down on your calender, so you can plan to come! We have singing and eating and most important lots of visiting. Please bring your kids or grandkids, they love running around and enjoying being outside playing in the beautiful woods that surround the serene little church/schoolhouse that holds so many memories that connects us all. Please dont let this tradition of family and community die, remember love, friendship and memories are what makes our lives great. If you find you cant come but have a great memory of coming in years past or can think of a funny story or tall tale that happened in these ole piney woods write it down and send it to us, we can share it with everyone there and it will make it seem like you were there with us enjoying the beautiful day if only in spirit. (of course you wont get any of the homemade goodies but we can always eat a bite for you if you wish ;) ) Hoping to see you next year!~ Michelle Byerly Rt 2 Box 388 Jasper, Texas 75951 [email protected]

Surnames: Nash Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AkB.2ACE/422 Message Board Post: I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm trying to locate any information on my Grandmothers family. My Grandmothers name was Nola Mae Nash, born in Jasper Oct. 10, 1907. Her mothers name was Bessie and father is Manuel Nash. I have heard that My Grandmother was not the child of Manuel Nash, that her father was killed and Bessie married Mr. Nash either before Nola was born or shortly after.(I would love to trace that, but I'm afraid it would be a dead end.) anyway, Bessie and Manuel did have 3 other children after they were married. Jack, Alma and a sister Margie, that was killed by lightening when she was a teenager. Apparently the Family moved to La. years later because this is where Nola married my Grandfather, Adron Mizell in April, 1930. My Grandparents then moved back to Jasper, where the birth of their second child was born. Robbie Lee Mizell, May 16, 1932. I'm more interested in tracing the Nash history back. I know Manuel died around 1963 in Quitman Louisiana. I would like to find out if there is any information out there concerning any descendants still in Jasper. Any information will be greatly appreciated, My Thanks, Linda Morgan

Joel Edward "Joe Bill" 6.William Jasper "Pat" 7. Jerry Franklin 8.Troy Otha "T.O." 9. James Benford "J.B." 10. Mary Ida md. Andrew Nicholas Davis 11. Robert Preston. Does this ring any bells. I haven't done any research on the Register family so I couldn't say how Mary Ellen Gilmore would be related to the Dean's. I don't have the right material at my fingertips to say that Jeff Davis was Mary Ann Delaney's brother, but will be at the archives in Jasper on Friday and will make it a point to look it up.
