Andrew said that Franz Xaver died after immigration and no details are known. I have reason to believe that he may be my grandfather. My grandfather, Franz Xaver Schneider settled in St. Paul, MN in the late 1880s, married and had 8 children. We do not know his birthplace in Baden but birth year and immigration year are similar to this Franz Xaver. My grandfather had a financial dispute with his two brothers following immigration and they severed relations with no further contact. If I can find a death record or cemetery listing in Wise County or Jack County in the 1880s for a Franz Xaver Schneider born 1862 in urschenbach, Baden I would know this person was NOT my grandfather! So far no luck! I believe that Andrew and his wife Anna are buried near their farm in Cundiff east of Jacksboro. Paul is buried in Windthorst Cemetery near his daughter Jose! phine Hoefle. Thanks for any help. Kathy, Louisville, KY
