He was a poor man, likely didn't own land. Just curious what area in Jack County he lived in. He was part of the Landman/Gage Indian depredation in 1860, which I think was in the Los(t) Creek area, or somewhere near the reservoir outside of Jacksboro? They usually lived around the Gage and Gunter families (Calvin Gage, Wiley Gunter). Do you know of anyone who would do look-ups for marriage, death, land records, etc? I know there is a marriage record for Joseph and Elizabeth Brisco, but I don't have a copy. I am seeking as much on her as possible. The records are very light where she is concerned.
