If you have access to this Jack County History Book, could you please do a lookup on the Mitchell's? Specifically, W C Mitchell who married Sophronia Elizabeth Miller in 1881. They lived around the old DeGress township until her death around 1897 in or just after childbirth of Ollie Mitchell, whom I believe was raised and/or adopted by the Cherryhomes family. Other Mitchell kids were raised by James and Nathaniel Barnett from the Wise/Jack county area. If anyone knows info on ANY of these family names or can help solve the mystery of what happened to W C after the death of Sophie ( some called her Elizabeth ) and where either of them are buried, please get back with me.
