I believe he is listed in the 1860 Jack County census, with his wife SUSANNAH. I got that information off of the familysearch.com site. Jacob and Susannah had a son named Jacob also, who was born either in 1859 or 1860. I am having a hard time tracing Jacob's roots. Family says he was from VT and on one census I have actually seen, it looks like NJ or NY. Also the age isn't written very well, could be 50 or 60, this is in the 1850 census for IL, where Jacob was before he moved to TX. If anyone is able to look up the 1860 Jack County census, I would be most appreciative. Any help offered would be excellent! Thank you, Holly : )
