    1. [TXJack] Memories
    2. I remember stories of Jacksburo and of the times we lived there. I can still picture it in my mind today, although by now it is torn down and some gas wells sit on what was the front porch of their home. I have a wonderful picture of my Grandmother sitting on her porch, as I read her diary sometimes I can't help but cry. To me she was a wonderful Grandmother, who would gather the eggs and fix breakfast for all who were in her home that day. One time I remember a cousin and I pulling this poor cat apart, each trying to claim him for our own. As Grandmother stepped out on her porch trying not to laugh, saying, lordy girls, your going to kill that poor cat. Cookie and I let go, reluctely. While reading her diary and seeing how many many times she was alone in later years, knowing I could have done nothing to change it for her, I cry. The family that once lived in this home are most all gone now, but the stories and adventures, both known and unknown would make a most wonderful book to read. Flora Ann Amburn-I love you Today while we all look for our Family connections, I pray that with each person that we find comes with their story-a memory of their Families should always be part of genealogy. I hope I have'nt offened anyone, I just felt alittle homesick for my Grandmother
