Davis? Brown. Story from family was her parents were killed by indians. I have seen articals about the indian raids and think that Mary Fowler is Elvira's mother and she was just a child at the time of the raids herself, so I think they knew some kin folks that were killed in the raids but just got confused. If anyone has any info about Elvira Brown, Mary Fowler or anything that you think I may need, I would love to hear from you. Thanks, Vickie
I believe my grandmother, Myrtle Goodin, was living in the Jacksboro area in 1921-22 when she answered a mail-order bride ad posted by my grandfather in Houston. Does anyone know what publications might have carried such ads at that time?

Hello listers, Color me "CONFUSED' for years and years................ I have been searching for my g.grandmother's parents and siblings for a long, long time. Now with the computer age upon us............even longer.!!!! My g.grandmother was listed in the Sevier Co Ar. Marriage index as married to my g.grandfather Elijah Samuel on Jan 24-1859. She is listed as Mary Jane Buckles. I have other information that her name is Mary Jane Buckner? Still another source lists her as Mary Jane Buckler? Just a little hitch to add............ Polk Co Ar 1860 census lists her as being born 1839 in Arkansas But Wait.............................. She is listed again in the same census but in a different house as: Mary Jane being born 1941 in Texas.? What a tangled web we weave? Both of the listing in Polk Co Ar. are with my g. grandfather Elijah Samuel Russell? Can't, after all these years, figure this one? Got any suggestions other than giving up? Suggestions? Jack County lists a Mary Jane and if anyone has any data to look this one up,...I would appreciate it a realllllllllyyyyyy lot? Freddie B Stewart in windy and cold May 3rd. Massachusetts

I am researching the Blanton family that lived in Jack and Wise Counties. Some of the names are James Burgess Blanton married to Valeria Sparks; William Pancoast married to Piety Elizabeth Borden; John B. Blanton married to Mattie J. Clark. I have hit a wall regarding John B.'s parents. If you have any information, I'd appreciate the help. Lee Rottler [email protected]

Would someone pleasse look up in the 1910 census for me, to find Lewis Lemons and Delia Thomasson Lemons. I have just received their marriage license, so they had to have been in Jack County in December of 1910. In 1900 Delia was living with her Grandparents, Levi and Louisa COX, and she was 10 years old. But I need to locate her in 1910 and 1920. I appreciate any help I can get. Wanda
