He married Martha Emely Elizabeth Huggins in Fannin County, Texas in 1883 (she was from Grayson County). They had their first few children in Jacksboro, the first being born in 1884. I know they were in Oklahoma by 1896, that is where my grandmother was born. Do you think there might be a connection? I know nothing about this greatgrandfather's family other than he said his mother was Cherokee, but he never wished to claim the Native American heritage because Indians killed his parents when he was young.

The only child that I have is Thomas Jefferson Jones born 25, March, 1860 Veron County, Mo. Married Josephine Enlow 30 March, 1882 Jacksboro, Texas. He died March 30, 1934 in Bryson, Texas.
