List, I have tried Hopkins, Fannin and Delta Counties for help so I will try Hunt now. I am researching Mary "Polly" HAMILTON, born about 1802, who was married to John HAMILTON when he applied about 1837/8 for a land grant in what is now Delta Co. The area is in SW Delta where the Shiloh Cemetery is located just south of Highway 24 on the way to Cooper. 1. I am trying to find documentation that Mary's maiden name was MADDEN as some researchers say with no resources cited. Based on Hopkins Co 1850 census she was born in TN as was husband John and their children. Husband John died about 1838/9. 2. Also, she married a man and lived in Hunt Co about 1840 by the name of MOORE, and they had a son by the name Daniel Fitch Moore. I know the son's name is accurate as he is listed in 1857 in Mary's probate records, including the last name Moore. He is shown only as "Daniel Fitch", age 8, on the 1850 census. I have researched in all the county clerk offices for all the mentioned counties, plus Lamar and Red River for a marriage record for Mary Hamilton and ? Moore. The HAMILTONs married into the John Jack Robnett family and then those into Benjamin SIMMONS families. Any ideas anyone?
