Oda F. Griffis was her great-grandfather. This Griffis branch has lost a connection with the Hunt County, Texas branch. Recently I had discovered a few various facts about the Griffis Family but nothing as specific as the details that you have provided. The comment about the "Stamps Quartet" rang a bell as my father-in-law remembers a possible Jones County connection with his father, Harvie Griffis and that group. I had discovered some of the information that you have furnished regarding William H. Griffiths. There may be a couple of Lincoln Co. TN possibilities to continue his lineage that I wasn't able to verify. Our Griffis Family is very excited that we have connected.
