Did his family travel from North Carolina to Tennesse then on to Texas??? Was his father b 23 Dec 1774 of Rockingham, NC. I have these notes from one of several serious Rawley researchers.. Pleasant Jefferson's brother Robert G is the one who went to TX before 1850 census, he married twice and had 6 children all born in Texas: Mary Ann 1856, Albert A. 1860, Cutter 1867, Lizzie 1871, J. Lafayette 11-4-1874, and Olive 9-1879. Hw was in Houston 1870 and in 1880 census listed as a lawyer. One of Robert's wives was Nancy born 1844 GA.
