There are also several books out there on the Lee-Peacock feud. I have been researching it trying to figure out for sure which William C Hall was the Sheriff killed and if he is not ours if he is connected to our William C Hall. Then you could ask some of the members here to do look-ups based on anything you find out which may be relevant to your family tree. I came to know about the Lee-Peacock family feud through a former colleague in Dallas, Larry Peacock. He has done a good deal of research on his side of the feud. Having worked at a tv station, he was able to get produced a 5 minute or so video package about the feud and the legend of his great great grandfather. I believe that I contributed a VHS copy of that segment to the Hunt County Genealogy group several years ago when I was at the Library doing some research on my own Hunt County family history. If I recall correctly, it was Carol/Carolyn (???) that I gave it to. I haven't talked with Larry-- who is or was a helicopter pilot with WFAA-TV in Dallas-- in several years, so he very well could have retired by now. If nnot his e-mail address would be: [email protected] Also, a very distant cousin of mine that is a big genealogy buff who lives in Hunt County, knows about some of the story of the Lee Peacock feud: Sarah Sue Swindell. I believe she is on this list. Good luck with your research! LEE family. He died there in 1873 and his #2 wife, Mary Roberts died there in 1872. I've never found where they are buried in Hunt co. even though he owned a good bit of land and supposedly died on their place. Sorry I couldn't be of help. I'm still looking for some of WILLIAM G. LEE's siblings. He was born to Abel Lee, b. VA and his wife Phebe. W.G. was born in 1805 KY and married first Mellissa Shelley probably in Carroll Co., AR. She was born in ARK in 1818. She died in 1846 in Hunt Co., TX also but I've never found a grave for either. I think W.G. was his parents first child. If any of the above names show up in your line of research, I would love to hear back from you.
