Goodmorning, I have the 1900 census, and seems to be the only one I can locate. My father, James Roy, would have been aprx. 10, his siblings are listed, however, his father Alfred Jackson Moore was by then deceased. I cannot find Daddy on a census anywhere else. I know that his Mother went to live with her Brother William Thomas BUSSELL, I believe in Swisher Co. after that. She later married a man, last name WYATT. Daddy left at that time and lived with the BUSSELL'S. His siblings were Alfred, Samuel (the oldest boy) Lula (married Matias Baker) Mary, Married William Thorton, William Ray, the youngest. Many moved between Oklahoma , Texas and New Mexico driving Cattle. Daddy Married Maude Warnike , of which I can find NO records, I beleive in Ok. They divorced. There were two children Opal Annie Warnike, and Alfred Leon Warnike, both born in Hobart OK. They were my half siblings, and both have been deceased a long time. After speaking with my sister last night, I had not understood that one problem is proving that Daddy lived in the US the length of time he did. Apparantly this IS very important. My sister is now 65. She has been told by Social Security that it will take a minimum of 5 year to obtain verification of citizenship unless we can prove Daddy had both been born here, and was living in the US after 1940. We need to find him listed on a census after the 1900 instead of just the 1900. OR a marriage /and/or divorce record of his and Ms. Warnike's marraige. This has proven impossible for us. My sister became MY guardian in aprox 1965 here in Kansas. As luck would have it, this decree does not mention either hers nor Daddy's citizenship. We have been working with an attorny, who is considering applying for a passport for sister, that being proof of citizenship. However, we come back to needing proof of Daddy's citizenship. Where would I even begin to attempt to find voting records my Dad would have been registered on? When you consider the time we are talking about...Daddy was born in 1883 or 1889...there is a discrepancy, HIS father died when Daddy was aprox. 10, after that he, like many of that age in Texas worked and lived with relatives (BUSSELL) Thank you for the Census GIF, however, I do not think that is MY Alfred. MAttie (Martha L Bussell Moore) was widowed, and may have been living with BUSSELL at that time. I appreciate your considerations on this...VERY much. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peggy C.
