>From "Our Town This Week..." The tearing down of the old house, the one known as the Rit Marshall house, and the leveling of the lot certainly helped that spot. Joe and Exa LaFavers are the owners and responsible for the razing and carting away of old trees and other items. It is understood that a new house will go up there soon, facing Fifth Street. More on that later when more is known about it. "Pinkie," Mrs. Pinkerson, and Kid Gray are now snug as a bug in a rug in their new surroundings in the Cardwell house. It took Pinkie a long time to get ready, but with all the family pitching in and helping, the place is so very modern and comfortable. Pinkie sort of mentions that certain old possessions had to be discarded, but she says with little regret since the big more is over and things are so nice. (But we do hope those five butcher knives actually did not go out in the garbage pickup). The packing boxes were already set afire, when we went to search. A familiar butcher knife cannot be replaced, actually. All the family, the Pinkersons, came home last Sunday, since Cap and Ruby from West Texas were here. The Elam boys were here a few days completing their newly purchased house, the Rayford Nichols' place for rent. Moved in last week are Mr. and Mrs. Phillip O'Daniels. He works at Temco.
