Carter Rites at Neinda ANSON - Funeral for Mrs. J. M. Carter, 79, who died at 5 a.m. Friday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital of Abilene, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Neinda Baptist Church. Mrs. Carter died following a cerebral hemorrhage at her home south of Hamlin Wednesday. Until her heal failed about eight months ago, Mrs. Carter had lived on a farm in the Neinda community for 40 years. Burial will be in the Neinda Cemetery. The body will remain at Lawrence Funeral Home in Anson until the funeral. Born Zadie Vaden in Tennessee in 1879, she married J.M. Carter in Hunt County, Tex., in 1896. He died in 1950. She had been a member of the Baptist Church since childhood. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lela Bright of 1249 N. 16th St., Abilene; a son, Glenn of Route 3, Hamlin; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
