I believe that he moved from Tennessee to Texas around 1835-1840. Thomas married Margaret Smith in 1827. The bondsman was Hugh M. Clark who was married to Mary Ann Smith. Mary Ann Smith was connected to Bartlett Smith who moved to Hunt county, Texas. Mary Ann Clark second married a Cox in Tennessee. The Cox family also moved to Texas.
