You know, this was rapidly becoming a major obsession with me... I was constantly finding barriers to all my efforts. I was spending so much time working on it that I was not sleeping or eating regularly. And dealing with the county started out seeming very hopeful.. but it had been so long and I had heard so many promises that I had finally given up on my belief that they were seriously considering going in to clean it up. You cannot IMAGINE how happy I was to see them on Wednesday! And the relief! It was very intense. I smiled all day as I worked. :-) I got 70-something transcriptions and 115 photos that day.. of course, you still have to work at clearing yourself, I had finally taken the initiative and bought tools, you can't really use power tools because of the state of the markers... but... nippers, hand saws, machetes, worked. I had a terrible moment or two yesterday when a huge bug crawled on me and I couldn't get him off of me... LOL. Then I looked down at the marker I was about to transcribe and there were TONS of them all over it... at that very moment they began to FLY and get all over me... I couldn't help it, I know I am not supposed to behave like this in a cemetery but I started to scream and scream, I could not stop... and when it was over, I actually cried, (over bugs!), and I was shaking all over and could barely write. LOL, I am SUCH a girl! ;-) The irony of this lies in the fact that I have encountered several snakes there, and was never affected like that. It's okay to laugh about it, I know I would if somebody told me that same story... LOL Well, I am so glad to be of help to you, I hope to continue to help you find what you need.
