Reb, it is ashame it has gone to ruin. I beleive Rehobeth was one of the first settlers communities in Texas. Folks drove wagon trains and traveled by river boat to that region before the Native American 'fights' had ended, built log cabins, etc. I know my great grand uncle and some of his companions settled there after the Civil War and raised their families. An entire community is buried there - from an epidemic of thyphoid in the late 1800's and later on.
