I don't know if there was ever a town there but there was a rural school and church not far from Commerce. I think they moved the church in the 1950's or 1960's to the main hiway from between Commerce and interstate 30. There was a very small community just south of Sulphur Springs, Tx. ( HOPKINS CO ) called Shady Grove, a very, very small community near Seymore and Seymore is about 5 miles north of Yantis, Tx.....Yantis being in Wood Co..................Seymore my old "stomping ground".
