City, OK. John C. did marry Betty D. Hughes so that may be where you got the name "Betty." I feel 99% sure that Carl C. Hilger was the son of Rev. Johnny Rufus Hilger and his wife Mary Ollie Hayes Hilger. Carl and Martha (Fitzwater) along with his parents J.R. & Mary Ollie Hilger are all listed in the transcription for the Farmersville IOOF Cemetery which is right on the border between Hunt and Collin Co., TX.
