Quinn and Leamon Keele officiating. Burial followed in the Celeste Cemetery. LaFavers died Friday, May 23, 2003, at the Leonard Care Center. He was born August 19, 1928, in the Lane community to Raymond Cecil LaFavers and Jessie Eula Pugh. He served as president eight of the seventeen years that he was a member of the Celeste Coop Gin Association. His health had been in a slow decline since September 2, 1998, when a tractor injured him, crushing his pelvic area. His present illness was a complication of diabetes. His many friends and family will mourn his passing. B.) LaFavers of Lavon. These are really grand and he loved them very much. He is also survived by two brothers, Raymond LaFavers and Larry LaFavers, and two sisters, Cloyse LaFavers and Sherry Richison, all of Celeste. Visitation was Sunday, May 25, 2003, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard, which handled the arrangements. (May 29, 2003, The Leonard Graphic)
