Lafayette 11-4-1874, and Olive 9-1879. Hw was in Houston 1870 and in 1880 census listed as a lawyer. One of Robert's wives was Nancy born 1844 GA. Most of them are about his job as a judge. They are in the late 1870's and ealry 1880's. I knew when i found Cutter listed in the Houston Directories with first his father then his mother that Robert G Rawley had died bet 1885-1886 so i went looking to see if there was an obit and finally located it. He must have practiced law in Galveston as well and since he was well known that he probably had a obit. I have a subscription to the website www.newspaperarchive.com and that is where i found these articles about Albert and Robert and the one about Cutter as well. I can send the actual newspaper images as well via email I can copy and paste them in Microsoft Word or send the whole page which ever you prefer. The ceremony took place at Shear Chapel, the Rev. H M DuBose officiating. Mr. Rawley the groom, is the son of Judge Rawley, justice of the peace Precinct NO. 1 Galveston Daily News Saturday 6-27-1885 Page 3 Death of Judge Rawley Judge R G Rawley the well known justice of the peace, died tonight at 10 o'clock, at his home in the Fifth Ward. His remains will be buried tomorrow (Saturday) at 4 o'clock in Glenwood Cemetery, from his residence. Judge Rawley was an old citizen of Houston and a man of marked individuality of character. Years ago he was a preacher, but finally became a member of the bar. He left behind a wife and a large family of children. After his election to his late position a severe attack of sickness from which he never fully rallied. The old judge was a very popular man. Even though this says he died on Sat I believe he died on Friday because it says he will be buried tomorrow (Saturday) in Glenwood Cem.
