But....the Patrick that is listed in the 1880 census with Robert H. Niel is Robert H. Neil's son. As you see, Robert named one of his children, Hamilton. No one was creative enough to use a new name. They wanted to drive their decendants CRAZY!! Patrick Neal (b 1802 d 1872) and wife Comfort Kilgore(b 1806 d 1885)had a son Robert H. Neil (b 1830 d 1881) married lst wife, Elizabeth Crawford (d bef 1860) married 2nd wife Deannah Crawford in 1866. (Elizabeth and Deannah were sisters) After Robert died, Deannah married Robert's brother, Hamilton Neil. Robert and Deannah had two children, Patrick(b 1858 d 1930) and Comfort (b 1856 d ?). The last Patrick (b 1858) is my g g uncle. Are there Neils in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville? Patrick and Comfort were the children of Robert H. Niel and Elizabeth Crawford. Elizabeth must have died after Patrick and Comfort were born. In the 1860 census, Robert and his children, Patrick and Comfort are living with Robert's parents, Patrick and Comfort. (Why couldn't families be creative and use different names!)Then in 1866 Patrick married Deannah Crawford. (As you can see, there are several spellings for Deannah). I don't know where Deannah is buried, nor Deannah, but Robert and his parents are buried in Pendleton Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas. Neil 4 Feb 1866 in Collin County. They had a son Patrick and a daughter Comfort. This Patrick was the father to my great aunt, Maude H.(Neil)Webb. Hamilton and his wife are buried in the Clinton Cemetery in what use to be Clinton, Texas. Clinton is now part of Caddo Mills, Texas. I'm telling you this (you probably knew about the cemetery) because Clinton Cemetery is having a reunion Saturday, September 15 at 10:00 a.m. there on the grounds.
