    3. Carol, Thanks for responding to my query. I am looking for the burials of GEORGE LEWIS, born 1863 in Missouri - died before 1896 - lived in Hunt Co. between 1880 and 1896. He also had a child name EUNICE LEWIS, born around 1889 and died before 1896. George had another daughter named Una born in 1891 and her death record indicates she was born in Lone Oak, TX. Therefore, I am assuming the death of older sister Eunice probably took place around Lone Oak as well. Appreciate your help. 3. Robert W Matthews and his wife Rebecca are shown as living in Hunt County in the 1910 Census. Robert W was aged 68 and Rebecca was 62. They were both born in Ireland. I cannot find them in the 1920 Census, so presume they may have died between 1910 and 1920. I know Robert W was executor to his brothers estate, Henry Matthews, in Kaufman, in 1912. I am just trying to find his probate details so I may find some other family names. Regards Lance Matthews England.

    1. Preston Hail 1797-1865(?)
    2. Bob Wilson
    3. Does anyone have any information on Preston Hail (Hale) who settled in Hunt County near Tidwell Creek? He was enumerated in Hunt County on the 1860 census only. His wife was Elizabeth Cannoy whom he married in 1816. Preston was born in Grayson County, Virginia, in 1797. His children included Andrew M. Hail, Hugh C. Hail, Stephen F. Hail, and Sarah C. Hail. All came to Hunt County prior to 1860. Andrew married a Sarah [++?++] probably in TN or AL prior to coming to Greenville. Hugh married Cordelia McDonald in Hunt County in 1855[?]. Stephen married a Sarah A. [++?++] probably in Hunt County. Sarah C. became the third wife of William A. Allen in Hunt County in 1865. I descend from Hugh C. Hail. Bob Wilson Wimberley, TX
