Hi Kellie, The John R. Stapleton could very well be my 1st cousin 3 times removed married a Maggie ? If you have info on him I would appreciate it. The Turner's you spoke of I do not reconize . My Turner,Graham and Stapletons all migrated from Lee co. Va. ,1880-1890's,my 2ggrandfather Alexander Kyle Turner and his siblings marrying into the Graham, Roberts and Stapleton families. My Wilson and Wheeler moved to Collin and Dallas counties after the 1900's . ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 29, 2004 4:47 PM Subject: Re: [TXHUNT-L] ARCHIVE AND PIONEER BOOKS > > > Well I know there is some Graham info because that is part of my Copeland > family remember when searching Graham in Hunt a lot of the info is under Grayham > > Jno R Stapleton listed as county commissioner 1928 > info on McQuincey Howell Wright who married Mrs N Turner (a widow maiden > name Davis) is this your Turner? James, I recall Stapletons living close to the Sabine River near the crossing known as the "Iron Bridge". Mattie Stapleton married a Brannan and I think a Wilson. I think Mabel Wilson, daughter of Mattie, married Randall Atkinson. Mildred Stapleton, younger than Mattie, married Ivan Glass. Some of the marriages are listed in the "Hunt County Marrieage Book." I recall also a family of Wilsons living across Sabine at Frog Pond. -------------- Original message from "James Wilson" <[email protected]>: -------------- > Where can that book be found? Re: Collin County Book Hi Kelly: In your book, Collin County vol 1 and 2, do you find anything listed on the Derricks or Seiglers? They lived in Collin County from 1870 through 1920. I am especially interested in Eliza Derrick, William F. Derrick or James Seigler.
