I'm new on the list. My Welch's were in Houston County about 1880--William David Welch, b. abt 1860 somewhere in Tx or Ar. His mother was Sarah Ann Wyatt Welch and appears on the 1870 census of San Augustine Co. We cannot find the Welch surname. William David Welch married Ann Ishmael. Their children were: Lonnie Welch (my grandfather) Frank Moses (or Mosley) Welch Eugene Hager Welch (died in Texas City Explosion) Stella Agnes Welch (died young) Doxie Ann Welch (died young) I do not know where these names came from, and not from Ishmael's or Wyatts. Please let me know if you are related through Frank's or Lonnie's family .I'd love to get in touch with Frank Welch's (married Lottie Christie). decendants My dad (Everett Welch) mother was Fronie McCann, and grew up in Houston Co.
