    3. Following is part of an e-mail I received from Donna Brand of Johnson County: The [Cleburne Memorial Cemetery] book should be ready for publication around October. It looks like the cost will be $40 plus $4 postage and handling. Yes, the book on Cleburne Memorial is a stand alone book. Its volume will be right about 400 pages. And yes, I still plan to do the other Johnson County cemeteries. I've already got a start on a lot of them. The ones I have (these are not indexed yet) are: Rae, Jones-Egan, Lightfoot, Lillie Evans, Marystown, and Union Hill. Rose Hill is scheduled to begin within a month after I finish Cleburne Memorial, then Old Alvarado, Balch Springs, Glenwood, Green Lawn, and Green Acres. Rose Hill will be another stand alone book. While Cleburne Memorial has about 12,000 occupants, Rose Hill has about 17,000 occupants. The others will be placed in volumes with about 12,000 occupancy. My comb threader won't hold more than 500 pages, so I'll have to limit my size. I believe its important to document the past also. Cemetery stones do deteriorate and information gets lost. That's a shame, but it does happen. It may not be but a few more years before some of the information compiled now will be washed away by the natural elements. That means the book(s) may be the only publicly available source of that information. It seems an urgent task too. I've also enjoyed being able to help family members locate their relatives. I watched many, many people drive and walk around Cleburne Memorial searching for that lost grave. That's why I've taken so many pains in offering maps and directions on how to find the grave. The book wouldn't be worth much without those things and an index. So all the information needed to locate a grave is in the book. I enjoyed taking one man straight to the grave he was looking for. He was from Galveston and just about as lost as he could be. So there are many pleasures I've enjoyed by doing the book.
