In the late 1980s George Martin loaned his funeral records to the Hood County Genealogical Society for the record to be copied. At that time they were hand copied by HCGS members Merle McNeese, Odessa Purselly and Tommye Hiler. These records have proven to be a very important source of genealogical information to visitors to the HCGS Archives at the Granbury Depot.
