Many of us have read History of Hood County, published in 1895, written by Thomas Taylor Ewell. Yet few of us know much about the author himself. Learn about how Ewell was a private soldier during the Civil War, participated in major battles and became a prisoner of war as a civilian. Ewell came to Granbury in the 1870's, practiced law, and was one of the original founders of Granbury College. Ewell died in 1897 and is buried in Granbury Cemetery. http://www.granbury.com/~ancestor/z/biog/EwellThomasTaylor.htm Thank you, Virginia Hale WebPages Staff Editor Hood County Genealogical Society
