    3. Dear Bud Hartmann, I descend from William Harrison Duvall and his wife Minerva Emaline Trammel. I have copies of the contents of the Judge Davis Duvall file which I ordered from the Hood County Public Library in Granbury. All Duvalls are in this file. Spelling doesn't count! If you go to the Hood County Genealogical Society home page on the internet you will find Hood County Historic Records on the Main Menu. There you will find Miscellaneous Gleanings near the bottom. The Judge Davis Papers Index is there. It will tell you how to order the file. It is hard to read and is like a puzzle gone beserk but you will find quite a bit of material on your DuVal family including references to wills and Roger Darby DuVal who married Bessie Burnett. Her obituary notice in the paper is there. It is a real mish mosh but worth it. I wish I had more time to spend on this as it is very interesting. However, this is a busy time with Christmas breathing down my neck. I have a lot of questions to ask you as I don't know where your DuVals originated. I did quite a bit of research on the Virginia DuVals before I found out I descended from Mareen Duvall of Maryland. These are very different families. Perhaps after Christmas we could have a conversation. I am in Westchester county NY. I see that you are in western MA. I have family in Great Barrington and hope to see them at Christmas. I wish you much luck in your hunting. Please let me know how you make out. Sincerely, Mary L. LeBrecht
