Have you hit "the brick wall" in your genealogy search? Hood County has one very precious resource that no one else has - the Judge Henry Davis Records. Judge Davis, born in 1891 in Hood County, was a veteran of World War I and a school teacher. He was later elected as County Judge in Hood County. He wrote volumes of notes on hundreds of Hood County families and court transactions as his hobby! After Judge Davis' death in 1976, his sister donated the records to the Hood County Library. The records were organized by surname and can be ordered on-line. Additional surname information has been added by HCGS members. To learn about Judge Davis (my hero) and his significant contribution that his little hobby gave to Hood County's history, go to: http://www.granbury.com/~ancestor/z/biog/davisbio.htm Best wishes, Virginia Hale WebPages Staff Editor Hood County Genealogical Society
