    3. The Hood County Genealogical Society is pleased to present to you six new biographies this week: Elias Barbee - A Yankee soldier blinded in the Civil War who came to Hood County. He became a successful farmer in Paluxy and retired in Granbury. http://www.granbury.com/~ancestor/z/biog/BarbeeElias.htm J.W. Bolton - A Confederate soldier who came to Hood County in 1893 and purchased a 100-acre farm in the Paluxy area. http://www.granbury.com/~ancestor/z/biog/BoltonJW.htm E.H. Chandler - A Confederate soldier who came to Hood County in 1866 and became a deputy sheriff. He was elected Sheriff of Somervell County and later became a merchant in Bluff Dale in Erath County. http://www.granbury.com/~ancestor/z/biog/ChandlerEH.htm Walter Braley Glenn - A Confederate soldier who came to Hood County in 1867.
