    3. The Hood County Query and Family Data Page has a new entry: - ---------------------------------------------------- BAKER Surname To all the wonderful folks at Hood County Genealogical Society: Thanks for all the information you have put on-line. The site is wonderful! I have sent for and received several copies of documents on my Great-great grandfather, Joseph (Joe) E. BAKER and one of his sons, Luther (an uncle to me), who lived in Lipan from around 1875 to sometime between 1924-1926. Joe's other children were: Oscar setteled in Weatherford, John Alexander (my great grandfather), Chester, Arther, Maude, and Mae (married A.P Garrett in Hood Co. 30 Jan 1897) I believe Joe married his second wife, A. Powncy, 6 Jun 1887 which resulted in my great grandfather, John Alexander, to run away from home. I have found references to J.E. Baker up to 1920-1927 timeframe and then only references to Mrs. J.E. Baker from 1928-1939. I believe Joe died in Lipan about 1924 –1926. I would like to find out where he is buried. According to your veteran’s page, he is listed as a Union soldier from Kentucky b 1838. I would also like to know if anyone might know what happened to Luther and his family. Luther married Ida Delly in Hood Co. on 29 Jul 1891. They had four children, Archie, Margaret, Clara (died of croup Feb 1915 according to Lipan Live Wire) and another boy Erwin. Any information would be of great assistance. Thank you.
