Vincent b. ca 1837 TN who came from TN after the civil war. he was the son of John N. vinson and Mary Roberts. Our J. M. vincent was James M. the J. M. Vincent listed in Hood Co. records could be John M. Vincent, cousin of our James M. the family went by both Vincent and Vinson. Our ancestor, Andrew william Vinson b. 1859 was James Ms. youngest brother and family says he had relatives in Grandbury. This entire family of 13 members disappeared into AR after the war and we are really at a loss to find them. Have this family back to 1718 NC including a 200 page journal with facinataing info. would love to share with family if we can ever locate them. Louisa (Lou) STOKES (b 05 Feb 1858 in AL, county and parents unknown) and husband James Alexander FLETCHER. (They were married in Etowah Co AL 20 Jan 1875.) Think William and Lou may have been siblings. At death of Alex FLETCHER, Lou married W.A. (Bud) ELLIOTT in 1890 in Hood Co TX. Lou died 1905, buried Rock Church Cemetery, Hood Co. Does anyone have any knowledge of the Stokes family?
